Hard to believe it, but it’s time once again for the Washington County Fair! Nothing beats the smell of corn dogs and popcorn in the air, the shouts of kids and adults alike on the roller-coasters, and the joy of winning the oversized, stuffed teddy bear at the carnival booths. The Washington County Fair is one of the largest in NWA.
The fair will be taking place from August 21st through the 25th. Once again, the fair will boast a pageant. The ages for the pageant will range from 0 – 21. If you haven’t already registered, unfortunately you missed out as the deadline was the 10th.
Do you like ice cream? Well, who doesn’t, right?! If you scream for ice cream, then you’ll be thrilled to learn about the ice cream social taking place Saturday, August 18th from 3-6 at the Headquarter’s House Museum.
Judging by the content on their website, there will be all kinds of goodies, ranging from cookies to cakes to, you guessed it, ice cream! You can enjoy all of this while listening to live music!
While you’re there, you can take a tour of the library and check out the cool, new updated tech. We’re talking a full guided tour fully equipped with touch screens!
If you don’t have any plans this Saturday, then we highly recommend you make an appearance! Find out more about the event here: https://www.fayettevilleflyer.com/2018/08/14/washington-county-historical-society-ice-cream-social-set-for-saturday/
